At The Choad Network (aka ChoadNetwork.com), we want to create a fun and enjoyable experience and web service. To that end, we have designed, and we operate, our service with the goal of protecting your privacy. This privacy policy is designed to explain the types of personal information we may collect from users, and the way that information is used.

"Personally identifying information" is information that individually identifies you, such as your name, physical address or email address.

Data collection

  • www.choadnetwork.com collects limited non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We use this information to operate, develop and improve our services.
  • To post on our site and take advantage of other “member” services, we require you to register for an account. You will be required to provide us with limited but accurate and current information about yourself (typically only your email address and a password for your account), and to maintain and update that information to keep it accurate, current and complete. We will use that information to provide our services to you. For certain services, such as our store, we may request credit card or other payment information which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers.

  • Whenever you vote on a choad using the Choadometer, a cookie is sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. A "cookie" is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer from a website. We use cookies to insure the integrity of our voting and ranking. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some ChoadNetwork.com features or services may not function properly without cookies.

Information sharing

  • We do not rent or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals, unless we have your consent. We may share such information in any of the following limited circumstances:
    • We have your consent.

  • If you have an account, we may share the information submitted under your account among all of our services in order to provide you with a seamless experience and to improve the quality of our services. We will not disclose your account information to other people or non-affiliated companies, except in the limited circumstances described in this Policy or with your consent.
  • We may store and process personal information collected on our site in the United States or any other country in which The Choad Netowork or its agents maintain facilities. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information among these facilities, including those located outside your country.
  • In the event of a transfer of ownership of ChoadNetwork.com, such as acquisition by or merger with another company, we will provide notice before any personally identifying information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • We may share aggregated information with others such as how many users clicked on a particular advertisement.
  • By using or accessing our site, you agree that the Company shall be released, discharged and held harmless from any losses, costs, claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) relating to or arising out of the disclosure of User Information or any other personally identifiable information of a user, whether or not such disclosure is inadvertent, willful, pursuant to a court order or subpoena, or otherwise.

Information security

  • We provide mechanisms for updating and correcting your personally identifying information for our services.

  • The sites displayed as search results or linked to by ChoadNetwork.com services either general advertisements chosen by us to appeal to our users generally, or are developed by people over whom The Choad Network exercises no control. These other sites may place their own cookies on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information.
  • ChoadNetwork.com may present links in a format that enables us to understand whether they have been followed. We use this information to understand and improve the quality of our service.

Please note this Privacy Policy will most likely change from time to time. We do not expect that we will increase dissemination of any personally identifying information, but there may be changes that are significant. Regardless, we will post those changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will also provide a more prominent notice. The Company does not distribute individually identifiable information to third parties unrelated to the purpose for which it was collected.  The Company takes reasonable precautions to protect said information from disclosure or misuse. Notwithstanding the foregoing, by using or accessing our service, you will have released and discharged the Company, its officers, directors, managers, members, employees, agents, affiliates, and third parties, from any and all liability which might arise from the disclosure of your personal information to third parties, whether inadvertent or otherwise. In addition, the Company may, in its sole and absolute discretion, choose to delete any or all of the User Information at any time.  The Company is under no duty to keep records of User Information.
